User Profile Settings

Manage your personal account settings, profile information, and security preferences.

Accessing Profile Settings

Navigation

From anywhere in the platform:

  1. Click your profile picture/name (top right)
  2. Select "Profile" or "Settings"

Or navigate directly to Settings.

Profile Information

Basic Details

Update your profile information:

  • Name: Your display name
  • Email: Account email address
  • Profile photo: Upload or change

Updating Your Name

  1. Go to Profile settings
  2. Edit the Name field
  3. Click "Save"

Your name appears in:

  • Your profile
  • Team member lists
  • Shared reports

Changing Email

To change your email:

  1. Go to Profile settings
  2. Enter new email address
  3. Click "Save"
  4. Verify new email (check inbox)

Important:

  • Login will use new email
  • Old email no longer works
  • Verify to complete change

Profile Photo

Add or update your photo:

  1. Click on photo area
  2. Upload new image
  3. Crop if needed
  4. Save changes

Recommended: Square image, at least 200x200 pixels.

Security Settings

Changing Password

To update your password:

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password (twice)
  5. Click "Update Password"

Password requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • Mix of letters, numbers, symbols recommended
  • Don't reuse recent passwords

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add extra security with 2FA:

To enable:

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. Click "Enable 2FA"
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app
  4. Enter verification code
  5. Save backup codes

Recommended apps:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Authy
  • 1Password

Using 2FA:

  • Enter code from app at login
  • Required each time you sign in
  • Keep backup codes safe

To disable:

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. Click "Disable 2FA"
  3. Enter verification code
  4. Confirm

Active Sessions

View and manage logged-in sessions:

  • See all active sessions
  • Device and location info
  • Log out from other devices

To end a session:

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. Find the session
  3. Click "Log Out"

Notification Settings

Email Notifications

Control what emails you receive:

Visibility Alerts:

  • Significant visibility changes
  • Competitor movements
  • Data anomalies

Weekly Summary:

  • Weekly performance digest
  • Key metrics overview
  • Recommendations summary

System Notifications:

  • Account updates
  • Billing reminders
  • Feature announcements

Managing Preferences

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Toggle each notification type
  3. Changes save automatically

Account Actions

Logging Out

To sign out:

  1. Click profile menu (top right)
  2. Select "Log Out"

Or log out from Settings.

Deleting Your Account

Warning: This permanently deletes all your data.

To delete account:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click "Delete Account"
  3. Confirm by typing your email
  4. Click "Permanently Delete"

Before deleting:

  • Export any needed data
  • Cancel subscription first
  • This cannot be undone

Team Settings

If You're on a Team

Additional options for team members:

  • View team members
  • See your role/permissions
  • Leave team (if applicable)

Team Admin Options

If you're a team admin:

  • Invite members
  • Manage permissions
  • Remove members
  • Team billing

Troubleshooting

Can't Log In

Try:

  1. Reset password via "Forgot Password"
  2. Check for typos in email
  3. Clear browser cache
  4. Try different browser

Email Not Changing

Ensure:

  • New email is valid
  • You completed verification
  • Check spam folder for verification email

2FA Not Working

If locked out:

  1. Use backup codes
  2. Contact support if no backup codes
  3. Verify your identity
